Joshua C. Klein is a member of the Litigation Department and the Distressed Real Estate Practice Group. Mr. Klein is also a member of the Firm's Employment Practice Group. His practice focuses on commercial litigation in state and federal courts, including complex breach-of-contract, fraud, and securities matters.
Mr. Klein has also arbitrated extensively before the predominant arbitral bodies, including the American Arbitration Association and the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA - formerly the NASD and the NYSE). He has successfully mediated a number of disputes before those same bodies as well as before privately hired mediators. His practice also includes the representation of entities and individuals in investigations and proceedings brought by various government enforcement agencies and regulators.
Recently, Mr. Klein successfully represented an investment bank in multiple litigations against residential mortgage loan originators for early payment default and breach of representations and warranty claims and obtained judgments totaling more than $40 million.
Mr. Klein received his B.A. in Psychology from Yeshiva University (1997) and his J.D. from Brooklyn Law School (2001).
Mr. Klein is admitted to practice in New York, and before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
